Current stable Pokemon SoulGold update with new Innates, broader lighting and Innate controls, Safari Zone timing adjustments and additional fixes.

  • Added new Innates: Resonance and Tempo for Meloetta, Controlled Burn for Flareon, Crossfire for Iron Moth, Hot Tag for Incineroar, Bull Rush for Paldean Tauros Blaze and Talonflame, and Mind Float for Chimecho.
  • Updated Innates for Charizard, Noctowl, Cinccino, Cyclizar, Ho-Oh, Mega Steelix, Galarian Articuno, Yanma, Blaziken, Cradily, Runerigus, Corviknight, Flapple, Armarouge, Ceruledge and Gouging Fire.
  • Added options to disable night lighting in the overworld and in battle.
  • Added an option to completely disable Innates at all levels from the right-side bookshelf in Elm's Lab.
  • Baoba's calls that unlock Safari Zone expansions now happen slightly earlier: before Ice Cave and after exiting Tohjo Falls on the right side.
  • Cursola can now be found in the waters of Rinto Village.
  • Other small fixes.

Pokemon SoulGold update with an in-game Docs shortcut and update check, Champions changes, reworked OHKO moves, smoother Normal-mode bosses and additional fixes.

  • Added recent Champions move changes and official abilities for Mega Golisopod and Baxcalibur.
  • Added a Docs option to the start menu. It opens a QR code for the documentation website and can notify the player with a toast when an update to the hack is available on HackDex.
  • Reworked OHKO moves into 150-power, 90%-accuracy moves that require recharging.
  • Smoothed the Normal-mode difficulty of Chuck, Jasmine and Pryce.
  • Added a one-time warning before entering the Team Rocket Hideout if the player has not beaten Jasmine and Chuck.
  • Adjusted Innates for Ariados, Annihilape, Onix, Gyarados, Bayleef, Roselia, Roserade, Cacnea, Cacturne, Metagross, Shellos, Gastrodon and Golisopod.
  • Added a TV to the Rocket Arcade for checking winstreaks.
  • Improved Dark Mode Bag text readability.
  • Armarouge and Ceruledge now learn their signature moves at the same level, level 56.
  • Fixed Fiery Wrath exceeding GBA limits with its animation in double battles.
  • Fixed an issue with player and follower shadows after flying to a route with shade weather.
  • Corrected trainer-see music for various trainers.
  • Other small fixes.

Pokemon SoulGold update with configurable shiny odds, follower options, DexNav improvements, new Innates and additional fixes.

  • Added an option to choose shiny odds from the default setting, 1/256, 1/512 or 1/1024.
  • Added an option to disable Mega-form followers when a follower has a Mega Stone. Some newer ZA Mega forms still lack follower sprites, so they continue using their base-form follower even when the setting is enabled.
  • Added a follower sprite for Mega Delphox, with credit to Camiloveso.
  • Added a reset button to the Latias puzzle.
  • Elm's call for the Rocket Invasion now happens after obtaining a 7th Badge rather than only after Pryce's Badge, with credit to HnS 2.0.
  • DexNav now shows the caught count for land and water Pokemon on the current route.
  • Reduced Battle Pyramid trophy requirements from 3/10/20 to 3/6/10.
  • Added new Innates including Trueshot Aura for Inteleon and Ogre Force for Ogerpon.
  • Adjusted Innates for Inteleon, Incineroar, Gengar and Milotic.
  • Electivire now learns Plasma Fists, and Barbaracle now learns Stone Axe.
  • Increased the catch rate of the Regis from 3 to 6.
  • Fixed the Surf sprite while fishing and reduced the associated stuttering effect.

Stable Pokemon SoulGold update that introduced 19 PC boxes, mass release, battle UI and facility options, new Mega abilities, progression adjustments and fixes.

  • PC Box count increased to 19. Existing saves are forward compatible, but once you save in this 19-box release, that save cannot be used again with older 16-box versions.
  • Added an option to mass release Pokemon or Eggs from a PC box by selecting the box number.
  • Added a Dark Mode battle UI setting.
  • Innates are now independent from Classic and Chaos modes and can be toggled in the facility settings. Chaos mode is now specifically for allowing legendaries.
  • Added Mega Lucario Z's Champions ability Aura Guard, Sharpness for Absol Z and Levitate for Garchomp Z.
  • Added the level 95 innate Like a Dragon for Serperior, which can now also learn Draco Meteor.
  • Revised Ampharos innates.
  • Added follower and Surf sprites for Mega Rayquaza.
  • Fixed DexNav star and item graphic colors.
  • Sinistea and Poltchageist now evolve into either form depending on the evolution item used.
  • Adjusted Battle Frontier sets and trainer-generation logic to include automatic Trick Room and Tailwind setters.

  • Innates can now be freely enabled or disabled in all Battle Facilities, similar to the Battle Cafe. Classic uses the standard pool, while Chaos is specifically for allowing legendaries.

  • Sinistea and Poltchageist can use either of their evolution items to choose the final evolution.
  • Updated shiny palettes for Scyther, Scizor, Flutter Mane, Armarouge, Ceruledge, Serperior and Mewtwo.
  • L=A mode disables quick swap in the custom party menu.
  • Forms are separated into their own species in DexNav, so forms such as Indeedee F and M no longer clamp into one search entry.
  • Fixed a rare custom-party-screen softlock when the player had five Pokemon and a specific held item.
  • Fixed Intimidate repeatedly triggering against Mega Heracross.
  • Other bug fixes.
  • Documentation: MoveDex and the TM/HM page can now be sorted and filtered in a PokemonDB-style interface.

  • The Goldenrod Underground herb shop now sells IV-reducing herbs.
  • Added the new ability Acidic, which makes Poison super effective against Steel, and distributed it to several Pokemon.
  • Added follower sprites for the ZA Mega forms of Clefable, Dragonite, Hawlucha, Raichu X, Raichu Y and Starmie.
  • Other ZA Mega forms continue using their base-form follower sprites until suitable public sprites become available.
  • The Summary screen now displays friendship instead of the unused ribbon field.
  • Clarified EV/IV page button prompts so they no longer appear to refer to the current Summary page.

  • Added the VS Seeker, which can reset eligible trainers outside routes after you walk enough steps.
  • The VS Seeker is now awarded instead of the old Radio key item after completing the Goldenrod quiz.
  • Existing saves can exchange the old Radio for the VS Seeker by speaking to the receptionist on the first floor.
  • Ported the Radio visuals from Heart & Soul 2.0 into the Pokégear, replacing the Jukebox.
  • Moved Buena's Password functionality into the new Pokégear Radio.
  • Delta users can bypass the emulator-inaccuracy warning by pressing Start, while acknowledging that Delta remains an inaccurate emulator for Pokemon SoulGold.
  • Increased trainer-battle EXP yield to 1.1×.
  • Added Mud Shot and Earth Power to Typhlosion's movepool.
  • Added several biting moves to Ursaluna.
  • Added Bisharp and Snorlax to Nameless Cavern in Kitakami Border.
