v1.1.4 uses 19 PC boxes. Existing saves can move forward, but once you save in this version, that save cannot be used again with older 16-box Pokemon SoulGold versions.

TrashMan is the label for the specific clean Pokemon Emerald ROM revision that the Pokemon SoulGold patch supports. The browser patcher checks your file automatically. Your ROM is checked and patched locally in your browser; it is never uploaded to this website.

    Choose a clean Pokemon Emerald (TrashMan) file.

After patching

Play the Patched Pokemon SoulGold Game

  1. Find the Patched Game

    Your browser normally saves the completed Pokemon SoulGold .gba file in Downloads unless you chose another location.

  2. Install a Supported Emulator

    Choose a tested desktop, Android or iOS option before opening the game.

    Open or import the patched .gba file in your emulator and start playing.

Troubleshooting

My ROM does not pass the compatibility check.
Use a clean Pokemon Emerald TrashMan dump. A different Emerald revision, previously modified ROM or incorrectly dumped file will not match the source expected by the SoulGold patch.
The browser patcher does not load.
Use the BPS download inside the patcher card and apply it with another BPS-compatible patching tool. A browser extension, strict network filter or temporary connection issue can prevent the patching scripts from loading.
The patched game does not run correctly.
Confirm that the base ROM passed compatibility validation, then try a supported emulator. Problems on unsupported emulators can occur even when the patch was applied correctly.
